Automated GeoMap loading using Barcode

Follow these steps to load a GeoMap into the (free) Avenza PDF map app on your phone using a QR code (Fancy name for a bar code).

1. Open the Avenza PDF Map on you phone/tablet
2. Select the Import/Add map option (the ‘+’ sign)
3. On the Import Map screen, select the ‘From QR Code’ option. You may be prompted to allow Avenza to access your camera
4. Point your phone at a QR Code on any of the Heavy-J maps or web site. This Code can be on a computer screen, a paper map, or even another phone
5. Once the QR Code is read, the map will automatically load into the Avenza app

Open the Avenza PDF Map on you phone/tablet

Select the Import/Add map option (the ‘+’ sign)

select the ‘From QR Code’ option

Point your phone at a QR Code (The one above is just an example, please use the applicable map/route code)
